CSA II

The Child support Agency is due for a complete redesign. Here in the UK organisations normally get a new name when this happens, but if this is the USA would it just be called CSA 2?
 
Flash:During a free period today, I tried an animation with Flash 7. Here is the result:
the impressive thing is not so much the animation, but the tiny file size, this is only 4 kilobytes! If only I could figure out how to insert the swiff file here. At least the idea of the way Flash handles symbols and the libraries has sunk in. I’d really like to be able to get the flapper symbol to follow the curser around now.
Hmm…actionscript.
 
I’m trying some of these, it’s bothersome though, the first one hasn’t worked.

  1. Love the birdies. And all for only 4kb!
    Flash rocks doesn’t it!!!
    I just use it for adding soundtracks to silly GIF animations myself.
    The clever people do it the other way round I understand.
    ie. Make animations in Flash then save them as GIFs afterwards!
     
    I don’t know if MSN Spaces will let you use .swf files without linking them.
    If it does I’d guess that normal HTML tags would work.
    eg. <img src="paste the URL of your file here">
    This tag will cause a JPEG or GIF file to display on your page, so I don’t see why it wouldn’t cause a Flash animation to display in the same way!
     
    What a good idea! You’ve got me thinking now…

  2. Oooo Birdies. I have flash, a really primitive version I think, of which was sent to me.. not sure it was under entirely legal circumstances but onto more pressing matters…. I really sucked at it. I managed to make some letters reverse themselves and sporadically fly around the page in an arguably random and impressive manner but ultimately I got nowhere advanced.
     
    Btw, I don’t think I’ve done graphite powder drawing but then again I’m not too sure of what it is exactly.
     
    I want to go on some art course eventually lol but I hope they don’t hold it against me that I didn’t do it for A level!

  3. Yes, I think you’re right…
    Flash uses Active X controls I gather.
    I have no idea what that really means, but I have come across the odd person that won’t even install a flash plugin in their browser for security reasons. (Bit extreme I’d say).
     
    I didn’t know pressing Shift made a link open in a new window!
    I’m far too old to ever have been taught anything about computers!
     
    Just had a look at your Oil Painting gallery.
    Your paintings are great! I love Prussian Blue as well ;¬)
     
    Especially like: 4,5,6,7 in the slideshow.
    There all good and quite inspiring to a, "lapsed" artist like me!

  4. Hey, just re-read my comment there and it realised it might sound sarcastic… No way! I can relate to how you portray people and I really do love prussian blue oil paint… you can go from almost black impasto to the faintest translucent wash with it… marvelous stuff.. all colours would behave in a similar way in my ideal world ;¬)
