Plus temperatures today. At last a ride into work, I’ve needed this so much. The last two miles saw me with second thoughts, snow started which covered up the tarmac enough to hide the patches of ice that were so obvious earlier. No crashes though & I feel so much better- my blood feels cleaner now.

It’s even been cold here and we’ve got a peculiar micro climate, being in a river valley and in the wind-shadow of the South Downs. We had snow! The freezing fog’s the best bit from my house. You see it hanging over the river in the valley below like a snake made of cotton wool. I like this weather. Yes I do.
