28-32°C, light breeze and a few spots of rain on the return leg.

Not far but look how steep it is.

I’m not well, but I went anyway. The rude worked well but I’ll probably pay for it tomorrow.

28°C (35° feels like), light NE, V strong sun.

A similar route to last year’s but with a better return route. It’s less hot and a refreshing North East breeze which helped significantly. Looking back, I think I was possibly ill with a bug last summer.

The photo was taken by two Slovakian guys who I then met later at the Repisol garage. They suggested a better route back for me which made a huge difference. The lanes were quiet and narrow.
Anyway, this was a successful ride which salved the debacle from last year. Maybe next time – Sa Colabra.
Recovering now but my throat is sore. Seriously, I haven’t caught something again??
28°C, light NE, zero cloud.

I set off in the afternoon with 3 litres of water and no clear idea of a destination. A track peels off the road to Formentor so I took it. The path was indistinct and very uneven. Rocks here are sharp broken limestone and in places hidden by coarse grass. It led to a dried up stream and then onto this delightful little pebbly beach.
When I got there, there was a group of muscle men about to leave so I had the place to myself. Then a lovely young french couple from Brittany arrived by the same route as mine. She asked me about the route as they had no map – they’d followed me down.
Then they changed to swim. Such a good idea so I did the same. What an enchanted beautiful place.
22°C, sunny with a light breeze but humid.

I’ve been out for rides 4 times in the last 3 days. It’s going well, especially compared with a few months ago

This means my legs are ready for the summer holidays (which officially starts today).
18°C, moderate westerly & little cloud.

This ride felt like it should. For weeks, it felt like I was forcing myself to go. Today though, I rolled along smoothly and didn’t tire excessively.
19°C, cloudy and humid. Light onshore breeze.

18°C, brisk W. Dry, grey & humid.

After the worst cold I’ve had for years, I ventured out along the coast road. It definitely made me feel better.
19°C, sunny with a strong Westerly.

Canal
Took an 11.7km walk on local paths & a canal. With a light bag on level ground the average was about 4.5km/HR.
18°C, light NW, bright sun & dry.

Bees: On the return leg was green lane, a single-track with no hedges and exposed to the strong wind. These roads are elevated slightly which makes the wind worse. Anyway, suddenly, I was in the middle of a swarm of bees. There were about 50 of them, heading south. They’re a problem if trapped in your clothes, that’s when they’ll sting. I could feel them bouncing off my jersey but none were trapped. I got away with it.
17°C sunny with NE wind. Clear by the coast.
