We’re having a very mild autumn. 12-16°C has been typical this last few weeks. Last week was half term and for a few days, I was in shorts. Now in November and still riding the summer bike.
#weirdweather.
Tendonitis has left the left Achilles tendon and relocated to the right one. Hence, all these recent rides being short (20 to 35 miles).
Today was binsday. I nipped out to take the bin to the road before it got light, they’re due at 07.30. in the moment the door was open, 5 wasps flew into the kitchen. The best way to catch them is with the cordless vacuum. The one I’ve got, a Dyson, sucks up Insects without harming them. Then all you have to do is wait until it’s light and let them outside. In that time, one worked it’s way through the tubes of the vacuum and escaped. They’re not stupid are they?
Later, I went for a swim at Edge Hill. After 50 lengths, I’d had enough. It was quite busy by then. The water tasted bad by then because W groups of young bikini girls got in and they must have been basted in perfume. You know.how I hate that
Usually a bike ride, but this year a swim. In total, it’s a mile (with 2 more laps in case of a miscount). This term, swimming has been a regular twice weekly at the pool near to work.
It’s been a while since the last bike ride. Icy weather has stopped me venturing out. Some days were so bad, I daren’t even go for a run. That means the default is the gym or at home, the turbo. I get ratty at these times and feel a constant fizzy agitated feeling in my limbs.
Winter weather: in a winter forced layoff. Ice is the concern. Last night we had showers of rain which froze on contact with pavements. It’s too dangerous to run or cycle.
I missed the start of the occultation (blame cloud) which ran from 4.58 to 5.56am. however, the re-emergence was clear while on my morning run. Using the outdoor gym was a problem because the machines were so cold.
